Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of a multi-part documentary series about the legendary rock band KISS. Titled *Shout It Out Loud*, the biopic is set to premiere in 2024 and will delve into the band’s formative years, chronicling their rise from obscurity to global stardom. Directed by Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Rønning, known for his work on *Maleficent: Mistress of Evil* and *Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales*, the film promises an intimate look at the band’s early journey.
The project, first announced in April 2021, is a collaboration between Netflix, Universal Music Group, and Mark Canton’s Atmosphere Entertainment. Frontman Paul Stanley has expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Look, you get one chance to do it, and I would rather not do it than do it half-assed or poorly. Our director is the real deal… It should be great.” While the cast has yet to be announced, Stanley mentioned that casting will focus on actors in their early 20s to accurately portray the band’s early days.
